Criminal Defense

The job of a criminal defense lawyer is to shield persons who have been unjustly accused, to make certain that those who are accused are treated fairly and to challenge improper actions of the prosecution.  Criminal defense work may spare a young person of a permanent criminal record, challenge improper admission of evidence, or find overlooked detail in a case that would cause undue hardship.

All of us are guaranteed certain protections by our U.S. and Virginia Constitution and laws.  These protections are important, for both the innocent and the guilty.  We are only safe when, as a society, we ensure that those in greatest need of protection are offered help.
